I've just started watching it, and I'm surprised at how good it is.

It's literally making Rock Paper Scissors fun to watch lol. On episode 8 right now.

Really recommend it. I've never seen an anime based around gambling before.

It is the pinnacle of gambling anime, watched it several years ago, Need to continue with the manga. Recently watched a video on why Kakegurui (a current gambling anime) fails the genre in comparison.

That video is actually what got me to watch it. Forget the guys name. It was on my recommended feed on YT.

Just finished the first part of the story. The end of the boat. Espoir I believe it was.

This is really good. Does it stay this good? Because this is really fucking good.

It was pretty heavily implied they may die if they failed at the Espoir, so I'm not so sure how much higher they could get. Lol

They don't die, (well, sometimes they do as a result of the game, but not as a result of the debt) you see what happens when people go into huge debt to Teiai during part 2.

Never watched it, but read the manga. It is quite crazy and insane with those gambles.

Haven't seen Kaiji, but Akagi was excellent, even though I never once cared about mahjong in my life. If you like gambling anime, go watch Kakegurui.
