What are you guys doing to prepare?

I just got bottled water, charged all of our portable chargers, filled up on gas. Not sure if I should buy instant food or not

Nothing, really. I've already got a case of water and these magical things called "pitchers" where I can take water from the tap right now and not need to mess with raiding a barren shelf. Sealing and filling my bathtub seems excessive atm.

I've got a lot of dry/nonperishables on hand already. I can live on PBJ for a day or two.

Not expecting any significant flooding, although my apartment might become an island of sorts for less than 24 hours and the rain'll make it hard to travel. I just hope for no loss of electricity or else I'll have to like, ugh, read a book or socialize or something.

yeah I'm kinda expecting the electricity to go down, I'm more worried about the heat than anything else it was 100 these last few days

On the bright side, temperatures will range between 78-85 during the rainfall! Loss of A/C won't be soooo bad, but sleeping might be... erm... alcohol induced.

And it'll feel like a 110 degree sauna in the days afterwards

Gonna go to the store and hope they got water. Gonna try to get a lot of canned and dry food. Best to keep it simple. Short of evacuating, there is little else to do.
Fill your bathtub with water if you can, not for drinking, but to be able to flush the toilet if the water does go out or becomes unusable.

Literally just driving to Dallas

Nothing because I live in North Texas and I shouldn't really be affected. I'll probably get some storms from it but nothing compared to the actual tropical storm itself.

Here in Austin I don't think it'll get worryingly bad, but I expect some roads to become unusable. Tomorrow morning I'm taking all my pot plants inside, and I bought a few extra cereal boxes and some bottled water. I refueled my car just recently, so there's no need to do so again.
