Going in completely blind, knew nothing about this movie beforehand except that it has an R rating. And boy they really must want to use it up, they've been saying "fuck" every other sentence, it's like when a child first hears that word and wants to blurt it out all the time.

This is an xmen/comic book movie? Coulda fooled me. Got a bit of a The Road impression these past 20 minutes

I turned it off within the first five minutes because it came off as distasteful. My favorite show is the Sopranos so cursing isn't the problem but the context didn't fit, so it stood out in a bad way

You know what I dislike? The trope of "big tough possibly scaring looking guy protects innocent sweet doe-eyed little girl" which for some reason we've seen at least twice this year with this movie and war for the planet of the apes

It's the kind of cliche that's popular in anime

X-23 is doe-eyed?

I guess they chose the x-men evolution version of x-23, hispanic and a little girl, not the comic version of x-23 which I would have preferred way more for obvious reasons.

Have to say I'm a little disappointed but no biggie.

You know what else is a shame? I'm suddenly reminded of 2011's Hanna, a movie starring Saoirse Ronan that no one watched but I liked very much for what it was. Just wanted to put that out there.

In the movie.All the X-23 were born from Mexican girls that nobody can find anymore. X-24 are just straight up clones.

Ok I have to admit I'm enjoying watching this miniature wolverine girl slashing at faceless soldiers and blood splashing everywhere more than I thought I would. I expected it but am enjoying the fact that they went through with it. If there was no quick cut editing I'd call it near perfect.
