I wonder how long it is until we get GTA Online: The Midnight Club update? Or GTA Online Bully update.

lol no.

Which is really surprising, too since that seems like it'd be right up there microtransaction alley.

On the one hand, I really REALLY have wanted the Hunter for a while now.

On the other, I pretty much swore I was done playing GTA Online with the last update because it's just not fun anymore and costs too much money.

So, I guess I'm just going to use a trainer to unlock the shit in single player.

Doesn't look any worse than those god damned hydras. Those carpet bombs look like they're gonna be a real pain in the ass. Thankfully, it all seems like shit I have no desire to buy. Unless something really separates that Apache from the Savage.

Yes! Another update that I cannot afford to enjoy.

I have been loyal to R* (and still am) for years but goddamn I feel betrayed for how they have handled GTA: O.

I'm loyal in the sense that I still play but I refuse to buy a Shark Card. Pissed because I'm just catching up with everyone.

There are several online gambling laws that would prevent it, since shark cards are bought with real money it would become real gambling.

That's what I mean. I will never buy a shark card. It is just impractical.

As for playing, I can't even catch up. So many wasted hours in lobbies waiting for a crew and so many hours on heists wasted from shitty crew members.

I stopped playing for awhile, couple months. I was stocking up my warehouse and I/E cars before then. So last week I unloaded my warehouse merchandise, made about 900k. Then this week I saw they were doing double payouts for I/E cars. 200k for top level cars, 100k for mid and 75k for low. I got lucky and had 2 guys help me sell a few at a time so I had one 500k payout. I also sold a bunkers worth of guns for 600k and a custom Voodoo I didn't even know I had for 300k. I've made some good money the past few days. But only enough for the MOC and upgrades for my bunker/staff.

Isn't there a straight up casino game on PSN that you can buy virtual money on already?

Great. People with too much money and/or no lives will have all the cool overpowered shit while everyone else suffers and has to play a long game of catch up.

More rewards for griefers and assholes.

I'd be curious to see which laws (I'm sure state/region based) would prevent that as it isn't technically gambling as there isn't any real world monetary gains. There are many online poker games that allow you to use real money to purchase in game credits for gambling.

This. You can't exchange GTA money for IRL money. Shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know why GTA Online keeps focusing on these weird warehouse updates. I really thought Gunrunning with literal underground bunkers would've been the culmination of that, but nope, now we're dropping shit off at factories too.

What's next, underwater bases?

Basically.

We need more updates featuring basic stuff like new missions, extra game modes, clothes, cheaper cars, non-business related Pegasus vehicles, etc. like we got back in the day. All the recent updates are seeming identical.

All that has to be done there is to code Shark Card money to not be usable in the casino.

They already set the precedent by putting a time limit on how long last-gen players had to transfer Shark Card money to next-gen, and not allowing them to transfer Shark Card money between PlayStation and Xbox at all.

All the military elements added in dlc have killed the game for me. Fighter jets and attack choppers are not the types of things I expect in a game about being a criminal and they completely ruin the balance.

GTA Online already has gambling because of the wagers you can bet on races, why would this be any different?

Honestly, that's the problem with GTA Online. All of these updates feel the exact same. Stock Warehouse/Bunker/Drug Den/Airstrip and then sell whatever you stocked in said Warehouse/Bunker/Drug Den/Airstrip.

It's just gotten really boring. And all anyone does is do the business missions, grief the business missions, or play whatever crappy adversary mode has come out while it has 2x bonus pay. Oh, and occasionally you can get a race that isn't complete shit I guess.

I wish they'd had released the mission editor so we could at least make our own missions, but apparently they can't figure out a way to monetize that so fuck it.

Exactly, it has nothing to do with spending real money on fake money. It has everything to do with it directly effecting Shark Cards sales. It's the same reason we never got the stock market.
