A gazebo is the ultimate defensive position.

If the Alamo had been a gazebo, we wouldn't have to remember it.

Yes, let's have a rally in a gazebo in the middle of a park with absolutely nobody in it in support of free speech! That'll get our point across!

Rallies typically involve listening to speakers. They generally aren't for the purpose of annoying people on the street, like protests are.

Even if they actually decided to hold a rally in the most crowded place possible, it's clear that they're still in the gazebo long after any counter-protesters were there. They're not just holding a rally in the gazebo.

Yeah if we assume the drone photo was taken after the counter-protesters left rather than before they arrived.

And it doesn't appear that crowded. There were only ~50 people at the rally, after all.

There's a fence up and what appears to be police around the perimeter. Since they ostensibly didn't have police protection beforehand, it can be assumed that the photo was taken afterwards.

First you claimed there were no protesters, and now you're saying there were, but that it's not believable that they would get violent despite getting violent at all ostensibly "alt-right" rallies.

Is that where your goalpost will stay for good? Just checking.
