I need a citizenship card to prove I'm a citizen so I can renew my expired passport. I lost the physical citizenship years ago.

So I filled out tons of documents. One thing required picture ID. It says Two (2) pieces of personal identification, such as a passport, a driver's license or a health insurance card, one of which
must have your photo on it.

So i photocopied my drivers and passport. However the passport is expired, but in order to get a new one, I need a citizenship. Hope that makes sense.

Do you think they would accept an expired passport as proof of ID? 6 months lost is what I'm looking at if I send the wrong thing.
