See I generally think the best of people. I make people earn my trust but by default you're a good person until you prove otherwise. I feel this faith in humanity makes it a lil easier to get out of bed in the morning.

At the same time though I have this weird paranoia strangers that approach are gonna stab me or something >_>. But I still always hear them out and try to help if they need something. Recently had a girl crying her eyes out approach me at 4:30 in the morning and spent half an hour trying to help her. Even in her state when she was approaching I was thinking...this better not be a ruse

My experiences have made me think the worst of others by default unless I have reason to see them more favorably...

I understand how you feel. I have some seriously deabilitating issues in my life, and Ive given up on trying to change them (I can't). I just live with them the best I can.

The way I see it, some things, and some people, are just beyond help, and it can actually hurt a lot for them to try and hope, or try to claw out of the hole they're in. It might be best to just try and build a nice cozy home in that hole instead, and try to...make something out of it.

This might be the worst advice Ive ever seen here. If anything you try to put an idgaf what people think about me in place so you can start relieving some anxiety. I feel like I just successfully implemented it into my perspective and now being around people doesn't feel like a hassle. Im not trying super hard to impress like I use to.

Because there are no tools for me to utilize. Someone would have a case if I lived in some sort of city (big or even small), but I live in a very small and very poor area. There are only the most basic things (like I said earlier in the topic, we don't even have a movie theater), no real ways to meet people... In fact, a lot of the younger people have left and are not coming back because there is no future here...

My laptop is broken and we don't have the money to fix it.

I can sew and role play. Other than that, not really... the unfortunate thing is that you need certain materials to do what I've done some of in the past (dollcraft), and the money factor once again comes into play because there aren't stores nearby that really sells anything and even if it's not a lot, materials do take money.

So why don't you look to alter your situation? Apply for jobs that you can work from home with so that you can earn the funds to move out of where you're at and have a chance of working with your problem?

I couldn't make it without my mom, so leaving will likely never be an option. What little emotional well-being I have is staked directly on her.

This is a good idea. I have a good friend that rarely leaves her house and has social anxiety. She strictly works from home and makes more than I do, lol
