My pinhole viewer shows about 20% of it covered if I had to guess. It's too damn hot to stay outside and watch it but we're supposed to get maximum coverage (not in path of totality :() at a little after 1. I'll probably go back out at 12:50.

North Texas. Mine is literally just a piece of foil taped to a cardboard square with a thumbtack hole poked in it held over a paper plate lol.

I didn't have any good way to make the box viewer.

I think it's over where I'm at. Not getting any more dim.

I used a pen to make the hole in mine, maybe it's too big. I'm also further East which is last to get it.

I made one with bigger holes and it's working fine. maybe you have to position it right.

Well I found a place that had been selling glasses for this. They were out of course, but next time I'll know or be dead. Why was Lowes selling them?

same shit happened to me. Noticed it got a little less cloudy, stepped outside and a cloud covered the sun. I think I'm gonna miss it, so many clouds. made this dumb box for nothing >:(

Where I am at will be like 75% covered at around 2:35PM. I'm gonna hop outside around then to see what it looks like.

I was at 94% totality about an hour ago and it was about half as bright as normal. Not a cloud in the sky.

Shit was surreal.

And now the clouds are leaving, about an hour after the partial eclipse. Stupid sky!!!!

It was cloudy here but visible. Just didn't have that "whoa it's dark" effect due to cloud coverage all day.

Indeed, the spooky is the shadows being all wrong for how dark it is and the sky being clear. It's cool to look at.

Okay so since I fucked up my box I just looked up for a split second since right now is the time of max coverage for me. I was able to make it out a bit in that split second so I'm happy now.

Right at peak for Western PA a small cloud went over it. I was able to take a photo of it with my cell phone.

Just got back from seeing it, and took some pictures thanks to the reflection of my phone's lens.

I'll be ready to do it again in 2024.

Okay so my hole was way to big. Used an uncoiled paper clip to make a hole and it works.

Nice, I tried my phone and it was still too bright and just washed out the image. The camera is crap though.
