Got ending C, gonna do D and E later.

Anyway so this is how I understand it.

Aliens did attack the earth, the Emils tried to stop it but failed. The aliens created the machine network but they gained some sentience and turned on the aliens and wiped them out.

Somewhere along the line the Red Girl was created by the network. And learned about humans and such. She created YorHa, used them to make a cycle of war between the Androids and Machines with the false hope of saving humanity, mainly using YorHa to gain battle data and build new units once a cycle was at it's end (usually when someone found out humans were already dead and the moon base was fake). Red Girl used them to evolve, become stronger and better.

In this cycle. 2B was actually 2E that was created to make sure 9S didn't learn the truth since they knew he'd find it eventually by killing him over and over again.

A2 was a leftover from the previous cycle.

Not sure why Adam and Eve was made tho, maybe to have YorHa someone to fight.

Also no spoilers on the other endings.

it's been a while, but that sounds good.

you can just use chapter select to get to the part where you choose between A2 and 9S, and choose 9S this time around.

as soon as you get that ending, it'll lead to a series of choices to ending E.

You get a new intelligence document after getting ending E that will basically summarize things.

The Red Girls did not create YoRHa. That information is revealed in the concert script.
