Both the anime and English licensed manga stopped when it started to get more gruesome. Also I think I'd advise against watching or reading it on a plane since I recall there being a lot of aerial fight scenes. Never watched Rolling Girls Chaika is pretty good. Is it possible to watch the show than pick up the manga? The anime's first episode is quite different from the manga version and cuts out a bunch of important foreshadowing. I certainly wouldn't recommend watching the anime in the plane, since it's 1. gory 2. features airplane violence 3. not that good. I think the anime tried to wrap things up in its last episode too, and ended up showing scenes that either weren't in the manga, or were later? I don't recall exactly. Oh yeah, they skipped over a few chapters to get to the final scene.
