Any fighters out there know? Just wondering, not planning on fighting myself. I always hear that punching can hurt you more than the recipient.

Yes in a real fight. No weapons. And no I don't know how to fight, been in some fights when I was a kid but not anything serious.

You just don't punch someone full force, that's one or the things they teach you because doing it too hard will just make you hurt yourself, possibly more than them.

Depends on where you're hitting. It's better to use an open palm to someone's face, especially if you're hitting their nose. If you don't know how to properly punch you can definitely really hurt yourself.

The reason for not punching people in the face (which seems counterintuitive as you REALLY want to in the moment) is that your knuckle bones are so much smaller and more fragile than the cranial bones that protect the brain. And catching their teeth can tear up your skin pretty bad too.

Now that I'm thinking about it I'm glad I'm an adult and don't fight anymore. Winning always felt good but damn did it suck to get your ass kicked for messing with the wrong guy and/or not realizing how many friends he had with him.

But I still like watching the pros go at it. Go Canelo next month!!! You show that Uzbeki monster what North America can do!!!
