The woman told investigators the male suspects “rushed at her and pushed her to the ground.” She said she screamed as loudly as she could, and covered her head. She said she was punched in the head and her body was kicked until she dropped the keys.

The suspects were able to get away with a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2013 Toyota Corolla.

There, they spoke with a victim who indicated she parked, and spent five to 10 minutes in her vehicle checking her phone. As she exited, the door was yanked open by a black male suspect who “immediately began punching (the victim) in the head with his fist using brass knuckles.” The victim said she was punched five to six times in the head, and the suspect then tried yanking her out of the vehicle by her leg — breaking her sandal. This, as a female was yelling “grab the purse! Grab the purse!”

Five days later, police learned of a 2014 Buick LaCrosse that had been stolen. That vehicle was tracked using OnStar to a location near 84th and Congress. There, police observed a black male jump out of the driver’s seat and run from officers.

Sharon Mckinnie, a 50-year-old mother and grandmother, said she stopped at the gas station to get a soda on her way home. As she was about to get in her car, she was jumped by what she described as teenagers.

"All of a sudden, a girl she just come and wrap both of her hands in my hair," Mckinnie said.

The attack goes on for roughly four minutes while Mckinnie tried to get away. The suspects, she said, wanted her car.

"When the guy was stomping on me, he was telling me to give her the keys, that's what it was about," she said.

As the attack happened, a man sitting on the curb just watched. Mckinnie said the man was panhandling and had asked her for money when she walked in the store.

"He actually picked my soda up and started drinking my soda because he told me if I had gave him some change he would have helped me," she said.

Mckinnie said she has a fractured elbow and will need surgery on her shoulder.

As stated by the victim of the most recent car-jacking/assault incident:

Mckinnie said she herself has a 15-year-old grandson.

"I really hope my grandson learns from this you know because right now there's no discipline, there's no respect here in Wisconsin, these children are just...they are very out of hand here," she said.

It's telling when this type of event is picked up and reported by a foreign news station, especially if the only other news covered on the US not being related to the government (like the U.S. Administration's stance on North Korea or the Korea-US Free Trade) is the violence going on in Charlottesville over statues.

Can you blame them if their perceptions are painted by these incidents?

He drank her soda?

I assume it was still closed since she just walked out of the gas station before being mugged.

Plus, the guy was panhandling. Why miss the opportunity of a free soda?
