Yes

Major spoilers: the finale has Clark finally accept his destiny, which makes him finally able to fly and defeat darkseid. Jor-el tells him how proud he is and how he is finally ready to become Earth's greatest hero, and grants him the Superman suit. He pushes a whole planet away to save Earth. Unfortunately the Superman scene is cgi as Tom Welling refused to put the suit on.

Well the B rule was broken, and by the time the series finale was being made, everyone but Tom wanted him to wear the suit.

Of course alfred Gough and miles miller left/were booted off the show after season 7 and of course not so surprising lex left as well so it's interesting that they continued to respect their wishes in those last 3 seasons. Probably because it was cheaper.

I was fine with the rule. Was just hoping that Tom would wear the suit. I read he felt he didn't deserve it, but after all that work for ten years to develop Clark Kent, he earned the right to be Superman.

But I don't even care, smallville was some good times during my early teen years and it'll always have a place in my heart. Still love that opening.

I love it too, and the final moment of the show was still great.

I plan on getting the season 11 comics, but it won't be the same without the cast.
