Considering autopay is virtually universal now, if this takes 80% of your brain space, you've got problems.

What if your financial situation isn't stable enough that you can put all your bills on autopay

hmmm

btw what muffinzorz did here is not consider his privilege of being able to pay bills on autopay because he has an excess of money

I know bok is a troll account but I'll bite because I'm bored at work

See, when you're an adult, you do this thing called "budgeting." It's this cool technique where you can make sure you're not spending excess money on unnecessary things.

So, once you've taken your monthly income and subtracted your monthly expenses, you'll get an idea of how much you're spending on things that are typically done through autopay (car insurance, internet, etc.). The difference between monthly income and monthly expenses is cash that you can use for savings, entertainment, or other things that aren't typically considered "necessities."

Now, if you're at a point where your monthly expenses outweigh your monthly income, then you've got a problem. Of course, being the responsible adult that I am, I don't have that problem.

Since I budgeted myself effectively, I do not have to worry about paying bills manually. Ergo, autopay. Frees up brain space for better things, like posting on GameFAQs.

What are you going to do? Just not pay your bills?

If you can't autopay, you're not ready for adult life.

A surprising amount of store cards don't offer auto pay.

Kohls didn't for the longest time (only just recently)

Baby's R Us doesn't.

My wife puts all the bills and due dates on a calender on the fridge. She also puts her work schedule on their because she randomly works random hours all the time. I actually keep up with our accounts and pay the bills and budget.

Cards are different. You'll always want to pay more than the minimum so you have to manually manage those.

Shit like water, electricity, internet, phone, HOA, and all other miscellaneous tasks no reason to not autopay those.
