Hey guys, so as some of you know I've been running a Youtube channel with my friends for exactly one year as of today, and to celebrate we are doing a HUGE new re-branding, re-launch, and rebirth of how the channel and videos are viewed.

For today, we're just releasing this teaser. It's our new intro, which I worked on extensively over the past two months. I'm really happy with how it came out, and one my good friends who does VGM covers did the new theme song for us. I love it.

We're going to be adding character select screen before each episode to show who is in it, have their sprite faces appear during the episode as P1 and P2, P3, P4. And we're finally adding an end screen to ask for subscriptions and point to some of our other videos. It's all coming together.

Next week we'll be starting 3 new Quests. Kingdom Hearts HDFM, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, and Super Mario 3D World. Uncharted and Pokemon will continue to air each week as well. I'm also working on a "1 year of Tarvould's Quest" highlight reel of some of our best moments over the past year, for those who haven't kept up with all the videos (basically, everyone).

That intro is neat, are the Scott Pilgrim style characters your friends?

I created it. Pixel by Pixel. In MS paint. Over the past two months. And yeah, each of the sprites in the intro are those who have been in TQ/will continue to be in TQ. I've got animations for them all as well, when they're selected in the character select screen for the episode.

I'm talkin about the entire intro from a video point of view

you did all of the scrolling, the animation? the programming for all of that?

Yeah man. All in Premiere Pro. I chopped the background image up into 4 pieces and made them scroll downwards at varying speeds to give it that Mega Man 2 effect. The hardest thing was animating the Hadoken beam to only come out of my hands, background masking is hard to learn.

Hahaha i was tempted to do a Snowdick montage, but it would seriously take like 20 minutes. I am however stringing together a death montage from the Mega Man Challenge, and if you guys haven't seen that it's definitely worth watching.
