It's the worst Final Fantasy to start with. I'd suggest XIII over XV. But really if it's your first than IX might be best.

Well, it's different from the other games. The other ones are turn-based.

do not start with 15, and don't start with 9 either. It's pays tribute to a lot of past games, and if you play it first you kinda miss what makes it special.

MGS4 had too many cutscenes. People hated watching a movie for 20 hours. MGS5 had too much gameplay. People hated playing a game straight for 20 hours. I'm not some die heard FF fan so I appreciated it for what it was. Not a bad game by any means. I think old school fans hate change. Yea I'm not really interested in the history of the series. 15 is on sale and the trailer looked cool. But meh, maybe I'll get Hellblade instead

But the story is so awful in both execution and pacing. It barely develops any characters, rushes like a motherfucker and is overall hollow. And for a series where story is always one of the big features that's a huge problem.
