Sounds good! I really enjoyed the realistic take on certain mental illnesses and the dialogue, music, and graphics were fantastic. Gameplay was a little meh at times but it helped the emphasis on the story.

So yea, I actually adore the ending. Especially the very end, where it ends pretty abruptly. I think that's totally in line with the rest of the game, and to me stresses how this is just another day they live and will continue to live. I actually did a sort of writing piece on it awhile back because I just really fell in love with it. It wasn't a perfect game, the gameplay definitely could've been a bit stronger in places. Sure, the general day-to-day going into the town reinforced the banality of small town life, but then the comedy fantasy escapades like going to the cemetery or breaking into the museum are not really things that happen day to day. I think this suits more an animated film personally, where that clashing works better. Still, it has some amazing characters, especially Bea. And the Lovecraftian horror is definitely intriguing and delivers some great concepts.

I'm someone who places story, world and characters above gameplay so the gameplay was actually pretty perfect for me. It mixed things up a bit and then if you really wanted like a game game Demontower is great.

Honestly the biggest complaint I had about the gameplay was the movement speed. Given how long it took to get everywhere, it was a bit of a chore backtracking (which is a shame, because there's a ton of cool subplot to discover by exploring)
