Pardon the iPhone-illiteracy

I have an iPhone 6. It got wet. I did the rice drying thing. Rice got stuck in the charging port. I tried to get it off. I must have scratched something inside cause after it wouldn't charge anymore. The phone is now dead.

No, I don't use iTunes and I haven't been using iCloud, which is ironic cause for the past month I've been getting the "this phone hasn't been backed up in ___ days" message regularly.

Am I out of luck?

yeah theres a reason they tell you to back it up all the time lul. i don't think iphones have traditional "hard drives" that you can rescue and swap out. everything is flash memory attached to the logic board, which is probably f***ed now.
