Especially the thought of it happening while your child is at school. I mean I doubt they would attack Guam...just more thinking about how a what if would feel for them

Closest thing I can think of is a Kumquat

I kinda feel like the cold war scare should have never ended and we should have been building underground instead of into the sky. I'm not a prepper but I got a few months worth of food/water too. We as a nation are shit as disaster preparation.

Guam is this place way out in the pacific that the US basically took over and used as a staging area against Japan in WW2. It makes Hawaii look closeby.

Pretty sure it also won't happen. It's a vacation spot for many Asian countries, Korea and China included. I don't think Un is willing to nuke his southern brethren along with Chinese tourists. That's a great way to piss off the 2 countries that border you.

I'm going to end up resenting my wife because during our house hunt there was this cool (to me) house that had most of what we wanted, and a fucking doomsday bunker. She said no.

TBH this is all routine stuff to those people
It's not very different from actually living in Korea and having to go through evacuation drills, drills in case north korea attacks, nuclear bomb drills, etc

Most military kids know what this is like
