You know how people are like well teenage boys like sex, and so they aren't being traumatized when they are deciding to have sex with older women?

Well when the female students are deciding to have sex with older male teachers, it's the same shit. Teenage girls like sex too. And mature earlier than boys, scientifically.

We just don't believe that girls are capable of making rational decisions (whereas male students are totally logical and of sound thinking in the analogous situation), so we think they could not possibly have wanted to have sex, although that's a perfectly normal thing to want as a teenage girl. Likewise, we play into the male predator stereotype as well.

Maybe give female students some credit, and there would be more balance in terms of peoples' reactions towards the genders in these situations. Boys are LESS mature than girls at that age, and so if they are capable of "deciding" to have sex (and are not victimized really, according to many), girls are not as well. We just aren't able to accept that for some reason.

i agree, teachers should not do that, for either gender (and with either gender students). What I'm saying is that we don't view female students fairly in these situations, and that's why the views are so different. They are as capable as boys in making these decisions for themselves.

yes, but I'm articulating a reason why the double standard is off. Not because we don't take it seriously enough when boys are "victimized" (which people complain about and are modded for), but because we don't take teenage girls serious enough

If the teacher is still there, the Feds could still bust them (especially if that teacher had intimate relations with other students).

^literally that's the only thing they need to bust someone, because "there might be more victims"
In reality it doesn't matter how long ago a crime happened, the case could always be renewed by the Feds if enough interest is there to solve the "unsolved crime", which is what the crime that the teacher committed will be filed under.
