I just finished this game earlier this evening and it's a weird coincidence that this story came out today.

Sales fell so short of expectations that they made a deal with the studio to cut 95% of their team in exchange for being allowed to finish the game, which is crazy for a number of reasons, the main one (to me) being that you'd have no idea if you played the game since there's no drop in quality. Kudos to the people who stayed on to finish it.

Such a shame it didn't sell well because it's easily their best game to me.

It feels like Telltale games are significantly less popular compared to the Walking Dead S1 and Wolf Among Us days. I wonder how sales are these days in general.

But anyways it's stupid to think Tales from the Boderlands would sell even the numbers of Walking Dead because Borderlands is still considered niche compared to the Walking Dead. Besides, it was their best work because they had so many creative freedom with it.

They can't all be home runs. At least now we have Batman season 2 and The Wolf Among Us follow up is coming next year.

The TellTale formula works best with non-games series' I feel because it's so focused on the narrative, it's more or less an extension of the original franchise with some gameplay inputs whereas when you take something that was already a game and shove it into the TT formula it would be more unrecognizable as its original self and lose a lot of appeal to fans of said franchise.

That's just my crazy theory, though.

Tales was my favourite one. I enjoyed it more than any other telltale game. The humour was spot on.

I hate borderlands and I said I definitely wouldn't play another Telltale game after Game of Thrones so...that sucks, I guess.
