Like if there was no sin, no temptation to stray from the word of God, just everyone being biblically pure and moral, what would the purpose of life be? What would our existence entail?
Because the way it's treated with Satan it's as if our current life is just a test of faith and to determine our worthiness to enter the kingdom of God. But what would the purpose of our existence, biblically speaking, be without the temptation to disobey God? Why would we even be here? Just to pray to him and worship him every day?

Satan is more moral than god so without Satan you'd just be stuck with some dude who killed a bunch of people, and threatened humanity with eternal suffering for not worshipping him, rather than the above and some dude who tried to fight for his freedom and also gave us free will

According to abrahamic faiths, the former is actually better than the latter though

The opinions on Satan in Judeo-Christian groups is pretty varied. There are basically three main flavors;
- Satan is a rebel. He created sin through tempting Eve. He is constantly trying to draw people away from God because he is angry, prideful, and pretty much an all around dick. He'll get his at some point after God is tired of his shenanigans.
- Satan is a 9-5 sort of guy. He is just the warden of God's prison. He's actually on pretty good terms with the guy and serves a vital purpose for God by punishing evil doers and testing people's faith and loyalty to God. May not even be the snake in the Garden of Eden.
- Satan and God are two almost equal, Yin and Yang like forces that balance each other out in our current world, but will eventually be beaten by God. Satan is opposite God in almost every way and creates a balance, but that balance will not always be the status quo.
Because of the diversity of beliefs among different sects and branches among Judeo-Christian groups (even just among Christian groups), it's impossible to discuss further without specifying a specific belief (unless you are just asking people what their personal beliefs are, then each Christian from a different group is going to give you a completely different answer).

This is a fundamental issue with religion as a whole. Sin, evil, bad things, etc. Only exist because God allows it to and created it himself, and he could at any time end it.
Which would mean that everyone who sins, commits evil acts, etc. Is only doing so because that's the way God created them or that God is creating them with the intention of them commit those acts. So then the people were just doing what God created them to do, or is doing exactly what God knew they would do based on how he made them. Which then raises the point that it's unfair to intentionally set people up to fail and then punish them for eternity for it.

And according to the Bible, even with the existence of Satan that's pretty much our entire purpose now too. Our entire purpose is to obey him, worship him, and spread the word of him or else we'll go to hell and be in eternal damnation.

religion as a whole

Only the Judeo-Christian religions, because they are the only ones with moral absolutism and a rigid concept of good and evil.
