You're pretty unlikely to notice. 2.) If you DO notice, it doesn't alter the scene. It doesn't take you out of it. 3.) He's there for literally one second. 4.) He isn't shoved in your face for an entire scene. That's why people hated the Ed Sheeran cameo. If Ed Sheeran was just hurling a spear, nobody would bat an eye. But when you make him the god damn centerpoint of a scene, complete with singing and more-than-enough camera time, people are going to get upset. --- Not changing this sig until Pat Benatar is in Super Smash Bros. He is a personality in the baseball world and is located in the second-biggest baseball market in the country (I assume LA is first). I just asked six of my co-workers (ages 24, 25, 25, 31, 42, 44) who Noah Syndergaard was. Two responses of "Mets pitcher," one response of "MLB pitcher," and one response of "baseball player, right?" Other two had no idea. I also asked them about Ed Sheeran. Three knew he did music, three did not know the name. But the important thing to note is that nobody specifically knew his niche or genre, whereas two of them knew exactly the position and team of Syndergaard. I understand that a website called "GameFAQs" does not necessarily reflect a crowd of people who are adept at sports. It's not that farfetch'd to assume that many of the people here hear "sports" and zone out because it's foreign to them. Secondly, music and gaming go hand in hand these days, what with people grinding in MMOs and whatnot. So you have to take that bias into account. Finally, the last multiplier is the screen time. Ed Sheeran was the centerpiece of a 3 minute scene. Syndergaard was in there for one second (and that's being generous, it was more like 0.75 seconds).
