I mean, let's be real here. If any part of that was how an actual hospital operated, the entire place would be shutdown and their patients sent to a place that functions well enough to pass the most basic of competence checks.

Depends on the amount of bacteria that stook to it vs the person's immune system (which would vary depending on several factors), also most important factor being the surgical cuts from which the bacteria could easily enter.

Soooo...unless there's another heart nearby they're just gonna have to give it a small quick rinse and hope for the best
