Do you have the dlc hearts of stone and blood and wine?

If you're not invested in the game yet Skellige should help but the dlcs are almost are fantastic. Especially B&W

try to finish skellige since the main story picks up after that without really letting go till the end.
hell, if you've finished the dandelion thing, you go through the most tedious part of the game anyways.

you could also try to find your way to toussaint just to get a taste of what's to come in B&W which is an absolute atmosphere changer compared to the vanilla game.

that's what I've been on lol. Probably my last 100 screens was THE ONERIMANCER COULD NOT HELP GERALT SO HE HAD TO FIND HIS DEAR FRIEND DANDY

Lol then you're fine. I personally didn't mind it but I know its not a popular spot to be in.

And for what its worth: I just modded up Skyrim for visuals and it felt like I was in Toussaint.
