So what I'm reading here is that you took a boring as fuck major, landed a boring as fuck job and have nothing else to show for your life.

I'd suggest you try applying yourself a little - you may be pleasantly surprised with the results

i would rather never have friends again than hang out with my coworkers outside of work

i guess i'll just stick with going to work and then going home and sleeping

You can't be lonely when you're asleep

That's true

I beg to differ. I've had dreams where I was so lonely and I could feel all the anxiety that I woke up having a panic attack. Maybe that says more about me though. Oh well.

The hurr durr internet answer is to join clubs and do other shit that most stable adults with careers will not do

The true answer is that you don't meet people besides acquaintances at work, and then when you have kids you will have acquaintances that have children that your son or daughter decided to befriend because they sit next to each other in preschool, and now you must make small talk about NFL trades with these people while your kids play within earshot

or you could get better time management skills while also using coffee to squeeze more hours out of your days. That or weekends.

I'd suggest you try applying yourself a little - you may be pleasantly surprised with the results

This is the real world. Work 5 days a week, 9-5, rinse and repeat, and applies with a majority of jobs. "applying" yourself in this case would be going back to school again, paying more for classes, and struggling to find a job that you actually like and enjoy. Which is hard considering that's it's never definitive. And even the job that you may enjoy may not pay the bills as much as the job you hate.

So what do you suggest then?

Acceptance. Accept that for a lot of people, social life can dwindle down and life gets boring. People move on, people marry, have children. Have a smaller social circle compared to College and HS.

Sure, exceptions can exist, but it's not that easy or definitive to have a great social life when you're working extremely hard to pay the bills or enjoy time for yourself. And this is made even more complicated when having kids, etc. I know several people, including some of my family who got their initial "dream job" before being eventually miserable, burnt out, and stuck with essentially the same loop.

Im on my phone so pardon my grammar, punctuation and wording.

The world is full of people I never understood this question. Yesterday I went with the wife and child to Barnes and Nobles, she wanted a book that just released so I tagged along with her. The moment I came in I overheard a man speaking with his child and him saying " I didn't pay attention to you, I was playing Metal Gear" I decided to ask him which one he said the first one and we went on to have a conversation about games and he invited me to his kids birthday party. We went to the register and as we were being attended I saw Saba the White Rangers sword and I asked the guy working how much it was he tells me the price turns out it cost $100 he says it's pricey and he then says "the good thing about it is" ,I cut him off at this part and say "It talks?" So the guy gets exited end up having a conversation with him saying they also have the dragon dagger and he tells me to go back in December that they usually have sales that those toys usually go for 40%-60% off during that time. It's this simple really.....last month I was at Walmart and some guys were buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards I asked them what was the current meta and that I used to play and stuff I bought them like 12 packs since I don't have time due to my kid and they told me to meet up and they would make a deck for me to play with, some dude at Target buying Pokemon cards I did the same shit and bought him a deck. Fucking Whataburger had a teenager who was sweating like crazy stopped by to get food he was on a bike turns out he was still playing Pokemon go I asked him because he had an eevee neck keychain thing with eeveelutions ended paying for his meal and talking about Pokemon and shit. I don't get it at all....the only reason I avoid women mostly is because I'm married and they get different vibes from talking to them.

So I don't agree with either of what y'all have said. Crow definitely has a very pessimistic, but real outlook on life and sometimes it is valid, especially if you don't live in a metropolitan area. We do, however, have the capacity to change our environments, leading us to not need to resign ourselves to disconnected fate with the social dynamic that is intrinsic and integral to life. I do agree that the end game on either of them or just life in general is to be happy as you live it and to live it fully, passionately, honestly, faithfully, truthfully and live it with your environment, including the plants, the bugs, the people, the wind, the sound, the fury and so forth.

Mercs, your pessimistic, destructive outlook on life is why I wouldn't question Crow nearly as much on what he has to say about living as opposed to what you have to say.
