...was when it turned out that Liquid Ocelot used a combo of hypnosis and nanomachines to take on the Liquid persona.
but not long before that, you find out something similar happened with Screaming Mantis and Psycho Mantis. the thing is, though, the game made it feel as if Psycho Mantis' actual spirit lived on in Screaming Mantis, while Liquid's persona was just psychological/technological manipulation. still a great game, IMO, but that part bothered me. --- ...
