How it works:

Flying - You can fly around in the air like Peter Pan, Superman, or Goku. It requires no energy and you can fly extremely fast, without your body being affected by high speeds or a lack of oxygen in the upper atmosphere. However, going fully into space will cause suffocation. No one will ever bother you about your ability to fly, including the government. People will see you and be amazed, but nothing bad will ever befall you in regards to this superhuman ability. You can still harm yourself if you're not careful though (running into things, etc.).

Touching books - You touch a book and you instantly obtain all of the knowledge contained within that book. You will be able to easily recall any information you've ever learned from any book, and you'll never forget any of that information. Every single detail will be easy for you to recall. This power is something you can choose to suppress if you just want to normally read a book.

The book power. Knowledge is one of my favorite things. And it would be far more useful than the ability to fly. It would also be much more lucrative and a hell of a lot more profitable.

Man, you actually got me stumped on this one. I have this recurring dream where I can fly and I love when I have that dream. But for whatever reason in the dream I can only fly while holding my breath, weird ah?

But hell, with the ability to touch any book and absorb the knowledge..... fuck that would be great. Like oh my washer is broken let me *touches washer repair book* and now I can fix it. Or "I'm gonna go on Jeopardy and..... Done".

I'm gonna have to say flight but this is a great question no doubt.

Yes. Like Peter Pan, they will gain the power to float next to you at the same speed by you just touching them. We'll limit this to two people though, one for each hand.

Is the book power even that useful? I mean just cause you know it, doesn't mean you understand it. You could have the entire medical dictionary memorized with this power, but basically do nothing with it. other than recite it to someone.

That's some seriously broken stuff. Would set you up for life in various ways, and without attracting any kind of unwanted attention(unless you actually want certain kinds of attention, in which case you can use it that way too!).

Yeah sorry the book thing is OP. You could literally run (walk) through the library and drag your hands across shelves and shelves of books, then use that information to put yourself through school with a 4.0 GPA and get yourself a research-based job and make bank with zero effort

If you were capable of doing that, applying what you know would be insanely easy. The hardest part is learning things, if you are immediately able to learn anything you read, putting it into practice would be child's play in comparison.

Granted if you don't have a brain for math that doesn't mean you become a rocket scientist with this power, but it's still insanely useful.

We'll just say that if you have the potential to understand something, you will understand it.

For example, if you touch a Chemistry 104 book before you've touched 101-103, you won't get it. But if you've obtained knowledge from its predecessors, you'll get it.

You could also make money off of flying, you must remember. Join the NFL and fly from one side of the field to the other and make a touchdown on every possession.

We'll just say that you won't be banned from playing sports with your flying power. That way the money factor is gone.

Knowing basically everything that you are capable of understanding is so much more useful then being able to fly.

Flying would be far more enjoyable, but the utility of knowing EVERYTHING you are capable of understanding is insane.

Let's not forget you would instantly become a master of any trivia anything which would also lead to easy monetary gains.

Exactly, by time you'd be able to choose to not use it, you've already read it. Then you have to live life saying you read twilight.

You don't have to worry about that. You can easily passively suppress the power and only activate it when you want, if you're worried about Twilight, the bane of your existence.

Careful with flying though, you might accidentally fly over a Drive-In Movie and see Twilight being played on the screen.
