that, and just to fit in at work social events. but I rarely drink anymore because I knew it was destructive and I was getting fat. Once I stopped drinking regularly I started really disliking the taste of alcohol. Only hard alcohol I can still drink straight is top shelf tequila.

I like the taste of various types of alcoholic drinks. And I don't need to get drunk to enjoy alcohol. I can feel the difference in a couple of drinks. Not enough to get me drunk of course, but it relaxes me a bit.

And this is why you don't like the taste. You don't know how to drink. You only get the cheap stuff because you only care about getting drunk, and not the taste. You get what you pay for. Plenty of alcoholic beverages and liquors taste great, but you probably only care about buying the cheapest vodka handle you can find 'cause you only want to get drunk.

And this is why you don't like the taste. You don't know how to drink. You only get the cheap stuff because you only care about getting drunk, and not the taste. You get what you pay for. Plenty of alcoholic beverages and liquors taste great, but you probably only care about buying the cheapest vodka handle you can find 'cause you only want to get drunk.

No I've had a range of stuff from cheap to expensive to home brew. Even stuff from well regarded local breweries and shit.
It all just tastes virtually equally disgusting so I just get lower end stuff like Jack or Grey Goose because there's not really any reason to get anything more expensive because a turd with sprinkles is still a turd.
Some mixed drinks are okay, like Screwdrivers, but usually whatever it is still tastes worse than if I just didn't add any alcohol, which is why I avoid beer and mixed drinks because it's just a larger volume of shit I have to drink for the same effect.

I like to enjoy the taste of what I'm drinking. I like being drunk more. I also like not spending much money.

cheap, flavored vodka gets the job done across the board. The cheapest brand of vodka in my state make flavors like lemonade, ruby red (sweet) grapefruit, blueberry, blue raspberry and pineapple. They are sugary enough to not require mixers/chasers.

Slowly drinking a beer is easier than someone trying to get me drunk every 10 minutes. The only alcohol I've had that I liked are hard ciders, because you don't taste the alcohol. But I'd still in most cases rather just have coke. It's cheaper and taste better.
