Well they have the Rams Stadium being built so they have that to use. They could also use the LA Coliseum and the Staples Center

At the time it was the first Olympics to turn ever a profit and is considered the revitalization of the Olympic Spirit after the 1976 Olympics nearly bankrupted Montreal and the political sham that was the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

Measure M just passed and there was addendums that shrunk the estimated completion times that were contingent on LA getting the olympics bid. This'll be great for our city.

LA and Paris are both cities with the infrastructure to actually host the Olympics and not go into horrible debt. LA is probably the best city for it. Host the Olympic Village at UCLA, use the new Rams/Chargers stadium, the Coliseum is getting remodeled already, etc.

The real shitstorm is going to happen when McDonalds claims an monopoly on fries again.

LA will actually make a profit on the Olympics, unlike most other cities. Most of the money lost is for terrible venue construction with no post Olympic use and the slush fund money poured into crooked contracts. There is relatively little infrastructure LA needs to add, and it will be to existing venues (ala the Coliseum) that will actually use the upgrades well after the Olympics is gone. My guess is Paris will be the similar, though I don't know enough about the infrastructure there to comment on it.
