I have a morbid curiosity about it. Netflix tends to ruin a lot of things it touches in my opinion, so I'm a little disheartened to see this being a thing.

Don't be. It is just as much fun as the original, and I'm happy to have backed the kickstarter for it years ago; as well as get to meet the cast and crew a couple weeks ago at a live show they did in celebration of the success of the revival.

It basically keeps everything the original run had, but just modernizes it with up to date references and topical humor.

Edit: Joel was awesome to meet in person. <3 Actually, all of the new cast and crew did excellently at the live show as well, and were super nice to meet.

The first two or three episodes are roughly paced, but everything after that is really fun and feel like a much more cohesive and faithful continuation to the original series than Rifftrax or Cinematic Titanic. The jokes are funny and pop culture stuff from modern times is there but comparatively sparse and not overbearing compared to Rifftrax. Movies are also really fun, bizarre and obscure too
