Most vodkas will do though, I just highly recommend againts Absolute. Stolichnaya or Ketel One are good mid range brands, --- I guess I'm something of a ne'er do well. If you want something a bit more premium, go Chopin or Skyy. But really, any potato vodka will be leaps and bounds better than a grain/rye vodka. For scotch, don't cheap out. Bad scotch is bad.
