The P4 anime's biggest problem is that it's *too* lighthearted, and that the art style and animation are both horrendous. You can tell it was made on a super low budget.

The OP and ED songs are great but that's about it.

If you never played the game, it's probably complete trash cuz they don't explain a lot. But if you have played the game, it's okay. The dungeon and fight scenes are meh but the comedy and slice of life parts are entertaining >_>

I just remembered that P5 has very few group shenanigan moments which sucks because that made the P4 anime much more enjoyable. In fact, I can't really remember any stand out activity that made the Phantom Thieves seem like great friends all together apart from hanging out at the cafe but as more party members get introduced, the group dynamic begins to take a massive nosedive.

Yeah, Hawaii sucked, the beach sucked, the culture festival sucked, Christmas sucked. The only 2 things I can think of is the buffet and sneaking into Yusuke's house. Everything else was so boring >_>

Outside of the shopping episode and the christmas episode, P4 Golden Animation was was so fucking boring >_> The original animation was definitely better

Hopefully we get a better group dynamic than in the game, making the anime feel like a companion more than a cash gran, if you get what I mean.

I find that hard to believe. The Golden anime at least gave us some Adachi backstory even if it's probably not canon. The original anime is so fucking bad.

Half of Golden literally just retreads the P4G cutscenes to a T. The Adachi episodes were okay, but I found them kinda dull (except for the fist fight. That was cool >_>) But most of Marie's stuff is so boring and there just isn't much comedy to be found anywhere in the show unlike the original.

The episodes will be coded to a clock and if you try to watch them past 7pm, Morgana just appears on the screen and tells you to go to bed.
