Imagine how deranged you would have to be to actively post on Facebook comment threads (I have an uncle who does this)

Facebook is so weird now. I think more old people than young people use it. All the college freshies are using snapchat/IG/whatever else, but still have facebook, and now the older generations have finally learned to use facebook. What a world

all of my relatives on facebook over the age of 50 are complete maniacs.

Once my uncle discovered this facebook thing that would compile like 5 pictures of facebook in an 8 second slideshow to this weird little jingle. He went on a trip to seattle with my parents and posted about 20 of those things. It was incredible.

That sounds amazing. Most of my older relatives on FB have calmed down aside from that uncle, his absolute lunatic of a wife and my grandma. She just has this way of writing that makes everything sound unbelievably bitchy. She also says LOL at the end of 80% of her comments.

The Cardinals are good now.

I still know some people that text "lol" at the end of every message, even the ones that are just statements. Like I'm going to flip out one time and be like WHAT DID YOU SAY?! and they're gonna be like "oh no I forgot to say lol"

Kinda hard to believe that Stanton never hit 40 homers in a season. But 247 career homers at age 27 is pretty good.

That's... what. I don't understand this move at all. I think Mark Reynolds has a minor hand injury but I don't know if he'll miss significant time and it's not like Howard would be rushed to the majors.

Is Madden 2003 also the one with Party Hard by Andrew WK? I had the GBA version of whatever one had that and it was hilariously bad sound quality and the only song they put in the game

Sports game soundtracks are so damn good. I don't know if any of you guys played MVP Baseball but those had classic tunes. All-American Rejects, Dropkick Murphys before everyone hated them, The Bravery and of course, one of those songs that was in an old iPod commercial with the dancing silhouettes that I can't think of right now. The best.

MVP Baseball was amazing, especially 2005.

I still remember random songs from those early 2000's sports game soundtracks. plus the tony hawk and dave mirra games had amazing soundtracks

I have a soft spot for MVP 04 just because Albert was on the cover but they're both perfect.

Tony Hawk games did have great soundtracks too. The only Pro Skater I ever personally owned was 3 on GameCube because I bought it for like 6 bucks used and probably got like 60 hours out of it.

I had no interest in skateboarding outside of tech decks, but I had a couple tony hawk games and both dave mirra games on ps2. they were sick as heck. Many memories of listening to sublime and launching the slim jim guy up a half pipe and trying to make him land on his head from 50 feet in the air

I don't know, but why would it not work? Cartridge games pretty much last forever

A few weeks ago I bought Halo 3 from a Goodwill for like $2 and I finally hooked up my 360 tonight, but sadly the disc wouldn't work. However, it had an unused XBL Gold two-day trial card... which actually worked! I'm a little surprised, that code is like ten years old. Too bad it doesn't seem to let me get Bayonetta for free (the GWG right now), so it's basically useless.

There's also a poster in there so I guess I got something out of it. That's my story. The best game I ever found at a thrift store to date was SSBB even though I basically never played that copy after I bought it

That's wild that the code still worked however since the disc didn't work you effectively paid $2 for 2 days of Xbox Live, which is a terrible rate. You got ripped off.

I'm sure it's the disc, not the Xbox. It was pretty scratched up and I knew that when I bought it, but I took the gamble since $2 is a steal and I've seen worse scratched discs that work. I also figured that nobody would knowingly donate a game that doesn't work, but maybe they didn't know

That reminds me of when I had Need For Speed Underground 2 on GBA and the only song was a 30 second loop of Get Low by Lil Jon

Tony Hawk 2 and 3 had really good soundtracks; 2 especially is one of my all-time favorites if we're only talking about collections of existing songs from bands and not composed stuff. Also back in the day, Burnout 3's collection of songs was amazing. I think I started liking a few bands because of that game.

So I'm in a spot where I don't want to make much noise right now so I watched it without sound. Soooo good. Really brings out the douchebaggery. I think that's why I never got into the band despite liking that genre,because they all looked so dumb.

There's actually a beer and music festival in St. Louis soon and one of the bands on the poster is Lucky Boys Confusion who performed the classic MVP 04 track Hey Driver. Seeing that name really took me back

It's truly a timeless song. Another great contribution GC made to my life is imparting the wisdom that girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money onto me at a young age

My mom's friend in Seattle asked her to watch the dogs in September so we're all going for a free vacation. I just bought tickets to Angels @ Mariners. Not sure if I'm more excited to aee the stadium or to see Mike Trout in person finally
