I feel like the devs worked so hard to give the Zora divine beast a great first impression of the game, but gave up on Rito.

It feels like the Rito one should've been "first", but the devs very clearly try to railroad you into doing the Zora one first.

This. It blows me away when people tell me that they didn't see a reason to go to Zoras Domain first.

It's literally the closest Divine Beast, and it's on the way to the next objective for Impa which is to see that professor dude.

Like the only reason to even head for the Rito is because you can see it flying around. But the game makes a big emphasis that you should go to Kakariko so you go in the complete opposite direction of it.

Yeah it was quite disappointing. Especially when you consider there's only four of these things.

The Rito one also offers the arguably most useful power, especially early game.

The entire Rito area was really underwhelming. Kinda seemed tacked on because they needed another "dungeon".

I agree. It was the last area I went to and was kinda excited to see what it was like, but... I was disappointed overall.

I didn't go to Zora's Domain till about over 100 hours played. Last Divine Beast I tackled. I planned my route out very early in the game without actually knowing anything. Just saw Vah Medoh flying around and decided to make that my first stop. Then decided I'd do Goron second, Gerudo third, and Zora last. And I stuck to that. Turned out it was probably the best way to play the game. The whole Rito arc isn't as great as the others, but Revali's Gale is good to get early. The Goron arc was a step up. The Gerudo arc was probably the most interesting in the game, with the Zora one not far behind. It felt like it the game was progressively getting better. I feel like I lucked out.

Also, I was actually planning on taking on Vah Medoh before going to Kakariko. But I remember reading that you had to do the early game main quests to unlock the camera and the rune upgrades. I wanted to get those as early as possible.

The Rito power actually trivializes most of the exploration. I kind of regret it even being there, because it made the last area laughably easy.

You did yourself a major disservice if you just flew right up to Ganon without exploring every nook and cranny of the Castle.
