It's the game the king played in the Chimera Ant saga.

The rules aren't specifically described, but between watching, figuring them out, reading some fan ideas, and making the rest to properly balance the game, I think I have it figured out.

If I started a Kickstarter to make this game would I have to change the name? Could I reference Hunter x Hunter at all? Would I be allowed to at least say inspired by it? Especially if I intend to copyright it along the way?

And honestly, does CE think that this game has a chance at success?

I think the only question that matters is that last one, and I'm just gonna take a wild guess with "No."

One thing you could do is actually negociate a license with the copyright holder. I hear it's cheaper than you might expect (but you'll need some funding), you know it'll be safe in terms of copyright, and you'll probably do better business than you, as a startup, could gain without the attached brand

Thanks, I'll definitely look into this. I'm not 100% sure who has the current copyright, but I'm sure it can't be that hard to find out.
