I dunno who hold the most fault, the companies that use such shady tricks or legion of decline enablers and idiots who keep buying these. I dont understand why people even buy these shit. It is basically tap the part of your brain that produce the rush when gambling, and most people arent just smart enough to realize they are being scammed. The gaming community has gone from laughing at horse armor DLC to spending thousands of dollars to these lootcrate with RNG drop inside it. This Normalization of such insidious business is shit. Glad there are developer and market that still care about each other. In Team Fortress 2, IIRC literally every item that comes out of those crates is worth less actual money than the keys to open them with the one exception of the super rare Unusual Hats.
