Would you support paying more in taxes to fund Single Payer Healthcare like the rest of the world?

39 y/o Laura Alley, a Georgia mother was in the middle of CANCER treatment when the hospital suddenly stopped taking her CHRISTIAN health plan, leaving her with 41,000 in medical bills!!

The hospital told her she was NOT allowed to leave until she pay up as well...

Laura said "I'm sitting there, with a needle in my arm, receiving chemotherapy in my arm and they are telling us that we are not going to be able to leave until we pay them 41,000"

Her husband, Nick said he was shocked because they always thought they were covered under Medi-Share, a medical co-op which satisfies Obamacare mandate for health coverage.

The mother of 5 discovered a lump on her neck after giving birth to her 5th child.

She started treatment right away and said she handed them their card 3 or 4 times with no problems at first. She said she had no reason to doubt her healthcare provider because Medi-Share paid the bill to Wellstar North Fulton after their fifth child was born..

But a spokesperson for the hospital said they "never had a contract with Medi-Share. We have a contract with PHCS. Because we thought Mrs. Alley was part of the PHCS plan, we billed PHCS for her care. PHCS gave her bills to Medi-Share who underpaid on our contracted rates with PHCS"

Members of Medi-Share pay in and share each other's medical expenses according to the website as Medi-Share is not insurance but does use an insurance network called Private Healthcare Systems to negotiate rates.

Medi-Share is growing in popularity because of low rates but offer less legal protection and aren't bound by legal contracts forcing them to pay their bills.

More than 98,000 in medical bills has been paid or discounted before the hospital stopped acceping Medi-Share.

The family is no longer under threat of losing Laura's cancer care and have a 0 balance because Medi-Share paid it in advance and the hospital says it has been resolved stating she's receiving care with no delays or interruptions..

Would you support paying more in taxes to fund Single Payer Healthcare like MOST of the world does?
