It's my favorite of the old school ones, but THUG 2 is my favorite. The story can be hit or miss for people, but the gameplay peaked there.

I do enjoy THUG 1, but it felt like the game started being more about gimmicks than skating at that point. Never played THUG 2 since the commercials made it seem like they went off the rails (hahahahaha!) with gimmicks.

THUG 2 is a terrible story, at best.
But it's pretty fun in classic mode. Story mode is hit or miss with the random objectives not really related to skating. But it's still fun imo. It's my favourite one since it has more "this is kinda related to using skating" objectives and has a really good classic mode too. ... Copied to Clipboard!

THPS2 was okay, honestly. The competition levels were really boring to me.
Most of the levels seemed more like open world to me - NY, Philly, Venice seemed designed with the idea you could start in different locations to me. School II was pretty neat. Hanger was fairly good for a starting level. THPS4 was... something. I understand it was their first attempt at open world goals but good lord, some of the stuff was insanely dumb. Though the "pick any goal and retry it/replay it instantly" was a nice feature ... Copied to Clipboard!
