Literally talking about drugs and my deathly fear of addiction and he is taking heavy offense to my being against them for it.

I've set my feelings on the backburner from him with this whole drug talk and now he's beyond pissy with me. Planned for a trip to the beach next week with our friends, but now I am thinking of cancelling and just going by myself elsewhere.

I hate how some people can't just let others have their opinions on things. Yes, he smokes weed and that wasn't even what he was talking about. I was talking about methamphetamine and hard drugs.

It's like..... he can't logically talk with me.

This is why this country is divided. No, I was not trolling him like I do on here. This was an open serious drug talk with him, but he just won't hear me about my rooted fears with drugs.


God, this pisses me off.

Like a couple weeks ago, you made a topic on your alt raging about how you were suspended again and the mods were out to get you, I pointed out that you weren't suspended, everyone laughed and you never returned the topic lol.

Eh. I guess. He has a lot of damn mental problems. If you have any opposing opinions of his, he gets argumentative. I just left the server and closed down my discord. I told him I'm cancelling all the events we planned and that they can go without me. I'm not dealing with this shit out in public.

I need more level-headed friends. While I like my local ones, they all have some seriously heavy baggage that I can't stand.

I am someone with an addictive personality who dodged drugs. I know for a fact I'd get addicted to any of this stuff if I were to try it and with that knowledge, I have a deathly fear of drugs. I want nothing to do with them. All of my drug views are based around this fear.

We were in a light talk and he just started taking everything defensive. I tried lightening it all but he just kept building the fire higher and higher. I said in my mind that if he pours more gasoline on this patch I am trying to throw dirt on again, I'm completely pulling out of this server indefinitely..... and he did.

I over-exaggerate my fear on CE, but I have a deathly fear of it. Alcohol, hard drugs and everything.... because like I said, I know I am an easily addicted person. I think in terms of myself actually too, it is a good fear to have if my mind is addictive. It keeps me away from ever trying any of this.

I don't do drugs or drink or anything like that either, but not because I'm scared of them, but I don't want to look like shit when I'm older. :u Heavy drinkers and drug users always look worn out by the time they're like, 40. I don't want any of that.

So I guess.. vanity is keeping me drug free?

As someone who has done virtually every non-hallucinogenic drug out there, and because of that has spent a large amount of time with people who do drugs, I've noticed that a lot of heavy drug users seem to take the condemnation of their drug of choice as a personal attack on them.* Like, if I were to say "I think weed should stay illegal", they would interpret that as "anyone who smokes weed deserves to die". It's pretty odd how people seem to take this thing they do and enjoy, and turn it into this integral, defining piece of their character.

*Note: I say a lot of, because not every single heavy drug user does this. In my younger years, I was the coke fiend to end all coke fiends. Coke is AWFUL for you, and if it were made legal and sold at the gas station, I would be dead in a week. I said the same thing while I was still doing it. I'm sure there are heavy weed smokers who don't get mad if people are against it, I've even known some. By and large, however, I've found this to be true for most people.

tl;dr: It's probably better to just not argue about drugs with people who do them. Chances are, it's going to be a miserable experience.

This. If it's about you not wanting to to them or not wanting to be around people who do, there's nothing wrong with it. I'm guessing you went off about how they should be illegal, which would have understandably pissed him off.

I didn't. I said that I think Chester probably still had drug problems and how I am glad I don't. He retorted saying I am out of line talking about how high and mighty I am for not doing drugs and how he needs pot to not kill himself. I told him of my addictive personality and he just blew up. I just blew up and deleted the chat.

What other drugs was he talking about besides meth? Some of the drugs that people consider "hard" are actually not really detrimental to your health at all, like LSD and shrooms, they just have a strong effect.
