I thought I was special with the random Filipina that asked to marry me. Until I realized several of my friends also had Filipinas trying to get that citizenship. At least I'm assuming it's for citizenship and not them fetishizing American dudes.

Have y'all had any experiences with this?

I have four separate incidents between myself and a few friends where random Filipinas added us and came on stronger than I've seen a woman come on. Two marriage proposals and two hyperobsessive fan girls.

I'll feel validated if someone else comes forward with an experience of their own.

And every woman with social media has had a marriage proposal from at least one Punjab playa.

Having known a few filipinos and even dated one, it seems the husband hunters are probably the poor ones who want to get out. But they also really do like American men, especially blue eyed ones. They're obsessed with blue eyes.

Sure, what do you have to offer? "Sex that will grow stale after round three. I also don't understand or speak much English, nor do I have an interest in assimilating with your friends or family. Doesn't this sound enticing?"

Um, it seems like you don't know anything about the Philippines. They're one of the most westernized Asian countries in the world. Not only do they all speak English, but it is rare for Filipinos to speak pure Tagalog to each other without switching to English every now and then. They know of our culture from music to movie stars. They're extremely religious, most follow Catholicism, and they're less success driven than other Asian countries. The Filipina women actually prefer to date foreigners over local men, simply because it's more appealing to them. I asked my then girlfriend what was "wrong" with Filipino men, and she couldn't really give a good answer, it was just more culturally accepted to date foreigners.

Having lived in the ol flipland for decades, I can attest how desperate the women are for anyone who is foreign or mixed western europe/murrica and how money hungry they are.

on the flip side, they generally will not stab you in the back like most mail order brides.

Also, there's very little things that can match the creepy indian guy online/in the gym so let's not make that comparison.
