Or we just arent equipped to hear the differences in other species voice?

Take dogs and cats force example. Their barks and meows are identical and we cant really distinguish if they are a he or she by the sound they make.

However with fellow humans, someone speak, we likely will know what sex they are immediatelly. With some few exceptions
