It is. You can see that in the different versions of BotW, where the Switch version runs at a higher resolution while docked, as well as having more ambient sound effects and minor aesthetic details. It's not a huge jump, courtesy of the limitations imposed by keeping the system portable, but it's there.

It is marginally more powerful. It's basically a fully portable Wii U, though.
