I've played the entire Castlevania series for years, but something I never truly understand is in the time line when Symphony of The Night takes place, do they ever explain how Alucard's father became Dracula, I mean like way when Lisa was still alive before she was burned at the stake and before it drove Dracula insane and Alucard to wanna kill him?

the castlevania anime does. alucard is playable in castlevania 3 so it might have said in there. i barely played the game and never seen the manual but guessing that would be where his backstory was told. back when manuals were important to the story. that was the debut of alucard. as for SotN i don't remember anything in game talking about it.

Yeah that makes a lot more sense because every time we see Dracula for the most part it's the same Dracula.
