Say what you will about Telltale and their games, this one was a gem. Good story, humor, choices, and overall a great experience. I'd welcome a 2nd season.

Too bad Game of Thrones, Minecraft, and Guardians of the Galaxy (so far) were all pretty lackluster.

I almost never see anything negative said about it. The only ones that do are the usual shitposters on the PS4 board.

It didn't get the same praise as the first Walking Dead, which I feel like it was on par with. I don't think nearly the same amount of people played it or got into it either.

I've only seen it receive praise and it's frequently cited as Telltale's best game.

On the other hand, I haven't seen sales data but my suspicion is that it probably undersold most of Telltale's other recent games based on brand recognition alone. Aside from The Wolf Among Us, Borderlands is probably the IP with the lowest built-in fanbase out of all the properties Telltale works with. Also, many of the gamers who played Borderlands for the gunplay might not be interested in a QTE interactive novel type of game.

So... underrated? Probably not. Undersold and under-the-radar of the casual gamer? Maybe.

Pretty much where I was going with this.

I think it is brilliant, and has the best soundtrack of any game I've ever played, hands down. I didn't like the crappy Rhys/Sasha romance they really tried to cram down our throats, though. I think they both make much more sense with other characters.

I haven't played it but I've heard great things. Sad that their mediocre games get sequels but Wolf Among Us and this will never get another season.

There have been rumors in the past day or two about a new season of Wolf Among Us via this link...

For me, Borderlands and Wolf Among Us have been the best two. We can only hope for a continuation. I haven't played Batman yet, but haven't heard much about it being great or anything.

TFTB definitely had some fun mile-a-minute humor, but its actual gameplay left something to be desired. Telltale's take on Monkey Island is probably the best of both worlds, at least of the ones I've played. (Haven't touched Game of Thrones yet, but somehow doubt it's an improvement.)

Game of Thrones is about as low-tier of a Telltale game as you can get along with Minecraft story mode imo.

I go into these games expecting a few QTE's and some dialog decisions that indirectly change the outcome of the overall game. I still enjoy it for whatever the reason.
