Let's be honest; the entire series has, maybe, two good movies. Nightmare on Elm Street is the better series, and Halloween I + II are superior movies.

I just finished my Nightmare and Friday rewatches tonight. I totally agree that Nightmare is the better series - Freddy is just so much more interesting, and there is actually continuity between sequels unlike in Friday that changes the story ever 5 fucking minutes. Gonna watch the remakes next, then the documentaries about the series. Honestly, I like it. It sure has its flaws, though the combination of sci-fi, horror and action is generally a guilty pleasure of mine, even though that mix hardly ever results in an objectively good movie.

Halloween is one of my favorite films of all time. It's such a genius film that created the genre and is one of Carpenter's best works. All the nods to Psycho don't hurt either. The first sequel is good. After that, it sort of falls apart. I loved the idea of turning it into an anthology, but that was completely ruined with 3 being a hot mess. ... Copied to Clipboard!
