David D. left the show? Or will this whole season be about finding him and he'll still be around, doing alien stuff on the ship. I don't think I like this Dogette guy very much :/

Did Cigarette Smoking Man die too?
What about Alex and the girl from the State Department? Are they going to start looking for Gibson too?

Why are we even revisiting the Gibson story didn't this end like two seasons ago?

you'll find out. gibson is actually really randomly important, so is billy miles from like the first episode.

the series is p much going downhill at this point though, unfortunately. i still liked it, and doggett is way better than people gave him credit for, but yeah.

Yeah, they really go off the deep end... Season 6 was the last good one. I still liked the show to the end, but it lost its way.

I feel the same. Doggett was great but other than that seasons 8 and 9 were pretty bad, though enjoyable.

I lost interest when the show pretty much became nothing but alien cover up and government conspiracy episodes. A group of friends had viewing parties every Friday until the show went that route.

But.... that's like the whole show. All the best episodes are about aliens and cover ups

It BECAME the whole show. Did you not watch the early seasons? The guy that could control lightning, the guy with the cocoon in his apt, the carnival freak ep, etc. Those eps that had nothing to do with aliens or gov't conspiracies are why we watched it every week. An alien ep every so often was fine, just not every ep.

alien episodes are like, 25% of the series and always has been. And the only reason there are that much is because they're split episodes instead of long episodes.

alien and coverup episodes are definitely some of the best though. Obviously there are good monster-of-the-week episodes - and some REALLY amazing episodes - but there's a lot of garbage and skippable episodes to sift through, especially in seasons 1, 5, and 6. The alien-related episodes are all pretty much "must-watch"
