I imagine a lot of people date for looks and only tolerate their personality. I know I briefly dated a few guys that I thought were very cute had had a few things in common with, but their overall attitude was kind of unbearable.

I can't imagine dating someone you're not attracted to looks-wise, but personality-wise seems to happen all the time. With a lot of girls, I am less attracted to them the more I get to know them. Halo effect I guess.

This is why the Divorce rate is so high. People are Marrying for looks rather than personality or comparability and they eventually realize they hate each other.
