All leases require you to put some money down if it's not a cheap piece of crap car.

You can negotiate the money down tho depending.

yeah im thinking of using my POS grand prix to pay for the money down and then use a lease for a few years and then by that time I'll have enough cash to buy whatever I want

I know that for financing, you generally want to put 10% as down payment, so I assume for leasing it'd be somewhat similar to help pull monthly down.

Can you afford it (including insurance, gas, and any maintenance that you're responsible for)?
Will you be driving under the mileage limit?
Will you not be modifying the car in any way (or only do reversible modifications)?

If all three answers are a "yes", go for it.

36 months. think it was 10k miles a year which is fine for me. whenever I leave town (which is rarely) I rent something.

Depends on the dealer. Go ask. Some leases, no maintenance; other leases, you're on the hook for regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation, etc.).

Unless your talking about those bonkers track Mustangs that cost 125 large, the modern Challenger is nicer then the Mustang IMO, haven driven both. Especially the Hellcat etc.

It's worth the wait trust me. Drove one a couple months ago. Absolutely insane car.

Still deciding between it and a few budget supers though.

Yeah. It's a good life skill to learn, even though manuals are being phased out for a lot of cars. Would like to brush up on it myself. And he's right it's a great looking car.

@AlternativeFAQS

If you can't afford to outright buy the car then and there, or in 10 or less payments you can't afford the car and should not be buying it.

Leasing and loaning is a sure way to being in debt, and your paying much more for the car.

I wouldn't go that far, but you should definitely aim for something in your price range. I wouldn't agree to any monthly payment unless you couldn't pay double if you really had to, and don't get fucked on interest.

They always end up buying a Honda or Toyota.

yep. i dont see the point of buying a new car. you pay the same amount per month and it takes years to pay off and once you do the value is like 80% of what it was and then you have to pay out the ass for all the maintenance. cars dont maintain value like land does

Your in the States correct? A brand new Challenger SXT+ up here can be leased for 135/m. Like I said Civic's are getting pricey.
