What do you think the gameplan is for Peter for the future of the MCU? It almost seems like they're prepping Peter to replace Tony if he was to die in Infinity War with Miles becoming the new Spiderman. I'm pretty behind but isn't that similar to what's going on currently in the comic continuity?

Just a thought.

They are not prepping anything outside of just having Spider-Man be around

There are no guarantees with Spider-Man. Dr. Strange has been the "replacement" for Iron Man IIRC

Why do people even think that? They didn't even say Miles name, just a nephew of the Prowler. This isn't like the PS4 game that actually showed Miles.

I don't think the other avengers would respect Spidey enough for that to happen.

People want to look like they are "in the know" cause they read comics (or Wikipedia pages), even though none of these movies have been straight adaptations.

So people make all these wild assumptions about Miles taking over simply to show off that they know about Miles.

This was similar to how a ton of people kept predicting that Captain America would die at the end of Civil War and Bucky would take over simply because he died in the comic version and Bucky took over. They thought this even though Chris Evans had more films in his contract and they would be stupid to keep him out of Infinity War

I am so tired of hearing about Miles Morales....nothing has even hinted that they are bringing him into the picture. Prowler (who we aren't even sure if he will ever even be Prowler in the movies) happening to mention his nephew was fan service, and nothing more.

I really hope they don't bring Miles into this, or if they do it's not for like 10+ years.

Miles fucking sucks.

Seriously? I thought Tony found some genius girl who made her own iron man suit and was being a mentor of sorts

I'm talking about the movies.

I have no clue about the comics because I haven't read them for like 5 years now. Last I heard the big push was to get back to a status quo Spider-Man though with their Legacy initiative or whatever it's called so I'd stand by the idea that Spider-Man isn't becoming Tony Stark any time soon.

Yeah, Peter is going back to work for the Bugle and is losing Parker Industries in some yet undisclosed way if Marvels announcements are to be believed.

Venom is also becoming a lethal protector again I think.

Miles fucking sucks.

Miles "I have one move that wins all my fights no questions asked" Morales is terribly boring

I think Stark will die at the end of Infinity War to conclude his arc. At the very least he'll retire.

Perhaps this will open up some tech company vacuum to allow companies like Oscorp to rise. But that depends on how confident Marvel is with Sony.

They wont be killing off Stark. He is the easiest one to keep up, and brings in a lot of money. Chris Evans contract is up, so Cap is the most likely to "die".

I have a suspicion that the Avengers tower being sold will be lead it to becoming the new headquarters of Oscorp...

Yeah, I don't think they'll kill Tony just because Robert Downey Jr. is a money maker and I think he'll always be down for easy paycheck cameos.

Really same goes for Evans, but there's a much easier "replacement" for him with Sebastian Stan/Bucky there so he'd be more likely to die or get written out I think. Maybe not permanently but enough to give him a nice long break.

Chris Evans is also the only one that I know of that's publicly expressed the desire to be done with the franchise. Unless he's changed his mind since.

You see the issue with Evans is that he has to get in shape to be Cap. Which is hard work, which he can and it kind of seems like he is tired of. Robert Downey Jr. doesn't have to do jack to be Tony Stark.
